ok ok ok so heres the gist

before you god tier, when youre just a Normal Person, dying is free.

get killed and you just respawn at your magic Quest Bed

unlike minecraft its a giant mystical stone slab thats super hard to break with anything short of a dramatic explosion

The Quest Bed is also where the portals are! one leads back to your house. as you adventure you unlock more portals! some of those portals go to your friends planets, or landmarks on yours

just a ring of cool glowy portals around this magic bed

You don't, like, lose items out of your inventory or anything, the only setbacks are that you are set back to whatever portal you unlocked last and that everyone in your session sees <abnegativeAblution was killed by Pewter Imp> in chat

and also, you know, the pain and trauma of dying

in addition, respawning doesn't fix, like, Big Damage. if youre missing an arm, or have a busted spine, or whatever, that damage is permanent and you respawn with basically your body healed to where it naturally would manage.

b u t

you can also go god tier!

to do that, you need to die on your quest bed, and also destroy it in the process (which also destroys the portals)

Does that only destroy your gates like, the ones you are supposed to go thru for ur quest, or like, the ones above your house

As in can others still use the ones on your planet that were never for you

and being really hard to kill

also, if your quest bed gets destroyed somehow without you on it, you also lose the ability to respawn-- but you also lose the chance to go god tier!

so in order to become a god tier you need to: figure out how to become a god tier, destroy your respawn point and fast travel network, and die in a probably horrible way (edited)

but in exchange youre a god!

you wont die of old age anymore, for one

magic powers, speedy flying, snazzy duds

is it worth it? who knows!

thats between you and the captcha cards full of nitroglycerin youll need to pull it off

so every player has a fancy schmancy special ability based on their aspect that they start with right away! just a little thing, neat but not like huge

super speedy plant grow blast for a life player, idk, specifics arent super important its case by case

and then by investing boonbucks and sharing your abilities around with your friends you get access to their abilities, and as you invest more gamecash and time and friendship into those bonds you get cooler and neater combo abilities

as well as leveling up your own fancy stuff because yeah video game

so youre encouraged to spend time with your friends, team up with them, combo abilities around to try and find neat things you can do

creativity and teamwork!
